What to Do Near the Cabin When It Rains

The weather in the Tatras can change from one hour to the next. A rainy day doesn’t have to mean a lost day, though, there’s plenty to do under a roof nearby.

The closest option is the thermal baths. You’ll reach the Bania thermal baths by car in about 20 minutes, and the thermal pools, saunas and spa run whatever the weather. Just as close, 17 minutes by car, are the Bukovina thermal baths (The nearest thermal baths from the cabin: Bania or Bukovina).

For a longer outing, Niedzica Castle above Lake Czorsztyn is a good bet, around 30 minutes by car. It’s a good half-day idea when you want to combine a walk under cover with some sightseeing.

Rain is also an excuse to stay in. Light the fireplace, jump into the hot tub, which works whatever the weather, or curl up with a book in the covered gazebo in the garden. Sometimes the best rainy day is the one spent at the cabin.

You’ll find more ideas whatever the weather on the Area and attractions page.
