Legenda Lasu sits off on its own, with no neighbours or buildings nearby. Forest and mountains all around, and yet you can walk to the upper station of Kotelnica in 5 minutes, along a path through the woods. It’s close, but a stretch of forest separates you from the lift, so day to day that distance is no nuisance.
It’s a rare combination: the quiet and privacy of 3,000 m² of fenced grounds instead of cabins packed side by side, and at the same time the largest ski resort in Podhale within walking distance.
The address is Groń, a small village on the border with Białka Tatrzańska. Hardly anyone knows the name, and that’s exactly the point. You’re away from the tourist crowds, but the attractions are right on your doorstep.
Who it’s for
A two-level cabin for 6 to 8 people. It works for a family trip, a getaway with friends, or a longer stay when you want space and quiet. We write more about staying with children on a separate page (Cabin for families with children).
The space
Downstairs there’s a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area for 6, and a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs, two bedrooms with double beds and additional children’s beds, one of them with a balcony and a view of the Tatras, plus a separate toilet. Above them, a mezzanine with a large bed, reached by a ladder, a comfortable spot for adults or a nook for older children. Three sleeping areas in total.
What sets the cabin apart
The outdoor hot tub with hydromassage and aeromassage is available around the clock, included in the price of your stay. In the evening it’s a soak under the stars with the sun setting over the Tatras (Cabin with a hot tub).
In winter you come straight off the slope to the fireplace, with firewood on site. In summer the cabin is cooled by air conditioning, which isn’t always standard in highland cabins. A smart home system looks after the heating: leave a window open and it switches off on its own.
The grounds
The whole property, 3,000 m², is fenced. Children have a playground with a slide, swings and climbing walls, and there’s a gazebo and a fire pit with a grill in the garden. You can see the grounds from the terrace, so you can relax while the children play. Dogs are welcome, we just ask you to let us know the number and breed of your pets when booking.
Getting here and parking
A dirt road leads to the cabin, but you’ll make it in an ordinary car, and the road is maintained in winter. On site you have private parking behind a lockable gate, so your car stays safe throughout your stay.
Nearby
Kotelnica a 5-minute walk, Bania thermal baths 10 minutes, Bukovina thermal baths 17 minutes by car. In summer there’s the Białka River with rafting and the Gravity Park on Kotelnica. We’ve gathered the full overview on the Area and attractions page.
